The Alexandra School Council is very pleased to once again be participating in the “Sharing Theme” for Community Cares. We have had overwhelming success with it last year and hope you help make it a terrific experience in 2007 also.

If you have any questions please call the school and leave a message for Jen Steadman or Tracey Maki at Alexandra 905-685-5489 or at Community Cares 905- 685-1349.

·    We will decorate a large Christmas tree in our School colours, and will place it somewhere visible, but with enough room to grow for all the donations.

·    We will create posters describing the four weeks of Sharing: personal care, warmth, food, toys.

·    We will send home newsletters and sharing calendars on the day of the kick-off assembly. At the assembly, Marci Hiet from “Community Cares” will talk with the kids about how their donations will make a difference.

·    We will describe the four weeks (Week 1, Week 2, Week 3, Week 4) and give the kids visual examples of items that may be helpful.

·    At the end of each week, we will send home a little reminder of what is coming up for the next week.

We will also continue with our other ongoing projects that help the Alexandra community at large.
